Cleaning faux wood blinds

When we moved into this house there were no window coverings.  So we got custom cut blinds from Home Depot.  They have been great.  BUT I wasn't ever the best at keeping them dusted or cleaned.  So today I decided I'd spray them off with my new hand shower.  I installed it myself last week.   The smallest blind was in my master bathroom so It thought that would be a good place to start.  I layed them down in the tub and just started spraying.  I was worried I'd have to use some SERIOUS elbow grease, but the dirt just came off so easy.  I layed out two beach towels by my biggest window and ran over each blade with a towel to get most of the big drips off.  They look amazing.  I'll take a picture of the next window I do to show how bad they were, and now how clean they are!

The most amazing waffles ever!

On facebook, I belong to a group called Recipe Junkies.
This recipe was posted by Tiff Goodrich, and I want to share it with you!

Nathan's Famous Waffles

10 eggs-Separate whites & beat till stiff
Put 2 yokes in a bowl with: (discard the rest)
3 cups flour
1 1/2 heaping teaspoons baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cubes melted butter
2 1/2 cups milk
Beat together till blended then fold in egg whites.
I need to add, I used 1/3 of a cup of batter for my waffle maker, and they were golden brown about a minute longer than the timer on my maker too.  So keep an eye on them.
They are fluffy, crispy, and absolutely amazing. And that's another....

Removing Tree Sap from Jeans

I don't do laundry as often as I should, so a pair of my husband's new for Christmas jeans, sat in the laundry basket for a week with tree sap.  He was helping a friend remove their tree and got sap all over the legs and fly.  I figured the pants would be a loss, but thanks to a quick search on google, i found my answer.

How to Remove Tree Sap

A little hand sanitizer cleaned it right off.  Just a little scrubbing and it disappeared.  Went through the wash and dryer and they are as good as new.  Considering they were new, that was a good thing.  And there's your first.....
